By car + Rach Gia - Phu Quoc speed train: Phuong Trang, Kumho, and Mai Linh are the high-quality buses and the most popular buses from Ho Chi Minh to Rach Gia. It takes approximately 6 to 7 hours and depends on the traffic.

Khu Tuong Black Pepper

Phu Quoc produces over an incredible 400 tones of the best quality black pepper each year. You’ll find pepper plantations mostly around the central and northern parts of the island and most farmers won’t mind you stopping to take photo’s or viewing these amazing storks of pepper trees or the drying pepper. You can also visit the Khu Tuong pepper gardens for a close look at the pepper gardens and cover the overall harvesting and drying process.

Ganh Dau

Ganh can say that oil is a natural masterpiece to adorn the North Island to balance with the landscape in the south. Here, visitors will experience the same level of the sea different. There was fierce and loud, sometimes soft and soothing silence. Oil Ganh bow beaches stretching over 500 m, is shielded by two mountains. On the beach, itself remains part of a storm the ship was No. 5 (2000) hit the drift here. Standing at sea Ganh Dau, you can see the mountains of Cambodia swine. Ganh Dau has many reefs, rock and other kinds of fish, especially red grouper.

Hon Thom Island (Pineapple Island) is the largest island in the An Thoi archipelago, south of An Thoi Town. The eastern beach consists of a small community of fisherman.There are various coral reefs scattered throughout the area. Sao Beach

The beach stretches for about 20 kilometers (12.5 miles) to the south all throughout the western seaboard of the island. Such lengthy unobstructed seafront gave Truong Beach its English moniker "Long Beach".

What to eat?

Ham Ninh Flower Crab

A large crab is not tasty as the smaller ones. Therefore, you should choose the medium size that there are about 6-7 flower crabs in a kilogram. In addition, if you like crab – roe, choose female crabs. If you like meaty ones, choose male crabs. Crabs on Phu Quoc island are so good that it is a pity if you do not try this kind of seafood when arriving the island.
In order to enjoy the best flower crabs, you should visit Ham Ninh which is 20 kilometers away from Duong Dong town.The price range: 200.000 - 500.000 VND/kg.

Bun quay Kien Xay

This food is not original in Phu Quoc but was brought here in 1955. Bun quay was from the central region where they are only served with ground shrimp.bFish, squid and other ingredients which were added when this noodle arrived the island took the taste of bun quay to a whole new level.
For this dish, everyone has their hands full: the cook has to stir the soup while you have to stir the sauce. A bowl of sauce from fish sauce, sugar, chili, and kumquat must be made by your own hand before moving to next step to order your noodles and wait for the cooks do their magic.
Noodles are made on site from rice flour. A paste made from ground shrimp, fish and squid were put inside the bowl with onions and herbs on top. Then pouring the boiling water that is used to make the noodles with all over and starts stirring before adding noodles. Thanks for the fresh seafood, bun quay has a natural sweet taste that hard to forget ones you tried.

Com Tam My Han

Com tam – Broken rice is a Vietnamese dish made from rice with fractured rice grains. “Tam” refers to the broken rice grains, while com refers to cooked nice taste, like a citrusy beef soup. It is usually served with grilled pork (either ribs or shredded) plus the Vietnamese dish bì (thinly shredded pork mixed with cooked and thinly shredded pork skin) over broken rice. The rice and meat are served with various greens and pickled vegetables, along with a prawn paste cake, trứng hấp (steamed egg), and grilled prawns. Typically, restaurants will serve this popular combination rice plate with a small bowl of nước chấm, as well as a small bowl of soup broth (canh) with garlic chives (to cleanse the throat). The dish cơm tấm bì comes with a chả trứng egg meatloaf.
